rivets??
 

I've heard of a tool out there like a pounce wheel or something that you can use to simulate flush-mount rivets with. Does anyone know anything about these & where I might get one?? I understand you roll it on the surface & it imprints the glass or covering to look like rivets. Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated. I needed a brain transplant after that experience with the heated brass tubing excercise!!!

I don't of anything intended for this use, but I have seen and look forward to trying a- geez, how do I explain it...

At a sewing store, I saw a tool with a wheel on it, and the wheel had points. Kind of like a 1/4 scale pizza cutter, but again the wheel has points on it. Wheel maybe was 1 inch in diameter and had maybe 20 points around the circumference.

You could use this tool to imprint marks on the surface, or perhaps rig it with paint to gently apply dots. Also, the spacing is fixed, but there must be different makes/models of this tool around which would have varying "point" spacings.

Go to the sewing store and ask for a pattern tracing wheel. They make them in different sizes which you can use for different scales. I have 2 of them but cant get a good pic of them. They were about $5 each if that.
