Table plans
 

I am looking for a set of plans to build a table for the flight line that will allow you to run up the motor safely. I have seen many of these at other fields and where I now live they dont have thwm and I would like to build one. The ones I have seen are in the shape of a "T". Any help would be appriceated.

I just replied to someone regarding our Club's tables, was it you? There are good plans floating around the net and there is another thread here at RCU that has addressed the subject. Anyway, ours are STOUT and versitile. I have a sketch and can provide some details, but the full plans (unfortunately) reside in my head.

beepee, that is the table I am trying to find the plans for, thanks for the picture that will help explain what I am looking for. So if any one knows where to find the plans let me know, thanks for the help.

I think the AMA had the plans available for awhile. May still have them.

Whatever plans you find, keep in mind that almost all those tables have one problem. They're usually top heavy and not easily moved. It's kewl that they're not easily moved, but most ARE NOT EASILY moved. Both characteristics are very easily solved.

There is no reason to use 2" thick wood for the top pieces. Use 1" or 3/4" thick, and the table is still massively overstrong. And it's as stable as before, but not as much problem to move around to cut the grass etc.

This site has as good as any.
But do consider using thinner wood for the top.

Da Rock Thanks for the help that is just what I was looking for. I too thought AMA had a set on there site but have been unable to find them. Thanks again.
