Need help: Using Servo channel to activate FlyCamOne
Hello all,
I am about to order a FlyCamOne (v2) for some aerial photography. http://www.hobby-lobby.com/video-camera.htm If you look at the manual, it says it can be activated remotely. It has 4 contacts near the mounting plate, contacts 1 and 2 are used for starting/stopping the recording, and 3 and 4 are for power. Is it possible to use a servo channel to do this? I'm guessing I'd use the channel for flaps, but I'm not sure. What would I need to do? Any help would be appreciated. TIA Lyndon |
RE: Need help: Using Servo channel to activate FlyCamOne
Due to the run-time available with the battery, just turn it on before flight, and off after flight.
Then edit the video to suit. That's how I did these.. http://media.putfile.com/Rc-inflight-video http://media.putfile.com/Inflight-vi...-lookig-camera http://media.putfile.com/InflightVid...looking-camera http://media.putfile.com/Inflight-vi...-twin-electric |

You'll probably need a switch that activates from a servo input (unless the camera/module has one incorporated). I believe 14c has them. You can just add a switch to the battery wiring, with a servo to click it mechanically on and off.

How about the r/c switch from RCATS? Cost is about $30 and it works off of a regular receiver channel.
