How do I. cover plastic

I have a plane that has a few pieces of plastic that I could not get around using. I have read somewhere that low temp covering can be applied to the plastic. So HOW to do it without melting or warping plastic ????
Thanks in advance.

Coverite's Presto can be used on plastic. I used it on an ABS cowl back in '88. I don't know if Presto is still available as I haven't seen it in about 10 years. Sig used to market the same covering under a different name, which I don't recall, as well.

If you can't find either Presto or the Sig equivalent, you can buy paints that match your covering. For Monokote, I recommend Lusterkote and for Ultracote, I recommend Ultra Paints. Their matching is very good. Perfect paints match Monokote very well. However, their Ultracote matching is less than perfect and their paints are quite expensive.

Some plastics can take virtually no heat without warping / melting. Don't take a chance. Either use the self-adhesive covering, or paint. I had the whole turtledeck of a Lanier Stinger melt because I didn't know about it ahead of time.

Thanks guys, I had paint ready and even tested to match covering. Then just for the heck I tried using Black Barons low temp covering on a scrap piece of plastic and it works, just got to keep iron low and scuff up plastic.
