sealing stencils

I want to stencil the markings on a scale F4F Wildcat. I am painting with latex but it always runs under the paper. Can I use liquid frisket to seal the edges? I bought some but have no clue how to apply it.

Different termonology

May be some misunderstanding upon my part here, but Fason-Frisket used to be a cut up polyester sheeting which you could then peal and stick on as a painting mask. I am not sure I have seen liquid frisket, except the old Liquid Mask, which was pink.

After sticking on a Frisket mask, we used to seal the opening with a thin clear coat, like 'namel. If properly pushed into place, this would seal up the edges, and after drying provide a sharp appearing edge. If you pull it up which wet, the edges become more rounded.
