Is Alaphatic glue hot fuel proof?

Hey guys - I just read in one of the "tips & tricks" columns in a magazine today that yellow carpenter's glue can be diluted with water and painted onto engine compartments and fuel tank compartments to protect the wood from getting soaked with glow fuel residue. The submitter claims it is nitro fuel proof up to at least 15% nitro content.
I really don't believe this, but am wondering if anyone out ther has actually tested this (?)

In my experience, no. Its not even really waterproof.

For fuel proofing, I use finishing resin or 30 minute epoxy thinned with acetone. I use carpenters glue extensively for building, but not for firewalls, or anything that won't be fuelproofed with epoxy.

You can also use dope for fuel proofing. I use AeroGloss flat clear for fuel proofing the fuel tank areas and other "difficult to get at" areas.

i have thought about using fiberglass cloth and epoxy to fuel proof during the build, and then just fuel proof the seams of the fuel tank area after construction... anyone ever try this?
