Smoke with a small 2 stroke

Has anyone drilled and tapped the underside of a muffler and installed a remote glow plug to up the temp and vaporize oil from a smoke system ? It seems like this would really up the smoke in 2 strokes.
I plan to try this soon I would really like any input anyone may have. The smoke system I have does not work very well at all on a .46 2 stroke, as always well after the purchase one learns a 2 stroke does not hold enough exhaust heat.

Help please..

When I did that I put copper pot scrub in the muffler. Just enough so as not to choke the engine. worked well. Did it on a FOX 45 on my own brew diesel and auto transmission fluid.

That little coil in a glow plug won't do diddly.

The bottom line is, the bigger the engine, the better the smoke.

I get excellent smoke with a 91 4-stroke - that's the smallest engine I have tried it on, but I may try it on a 75 2-stroke this summer.

Have you tried pre heating the oil a little more? You can run a copper tube around the base of the cylinder a few times. Then pump the oil through the copper before it gets to the muffler. I metal hose clamp can be used to hold your coil in place.

Just curious. Did your engine run quieter?

It's not unusual for the engine's sound to deaden a little when it's blowing smoke. The oil dampens the sound vibrations

Yes mine had a nice tone to it.

On my OS 1.08FSR I made a coil out of copper tube that fits inside of the stock 2 piece muffler with the baffle removed that preheats the oil and then dumps it in about the middle of the manifold. I get a ton of smoke from this setup, I should scan the pic where I completely dusted the field with a nice layer of super dry. :D

Nitrohog I would like to see that picture of your 1.08 smoking the field. I have a ST90 with a Slimline smoke muffler going on my CG Ultimate. I am planning on using a Sullivan Skywriter for the smoke pump, what did you use? Everyone says that 2 strokes will not produce good smoke, I hope that is incorrect.

I would guess that a 90-size 2-stroke will produce good smoke. The biggest trick is to keep trying different things. Start as simple as possible and only make it more complicated if you need to.
