will a little water return it to a good consistency?

Yes, just mix it well and you'll be ok.

Aster mixing let it set for a while to completely stabilize

Storing the bottle upside down will stop that problem. ;)

Had 2 bottles of it for over 20 years and it still worked good. Decided to throw it away last week and get a fresh bottle. Now I'm good for another 20 years.
