I'm using a 4cell,30C, 3200mAh lipo in
my starter. It's one I had from my Electric
trainer, that I don't fly anymore.

Put Dean connectors on and purchase a
Project box from Radio shack, to put
the lipo in.

Your Welcome.

The box is $3 at R.S. and yes it last me
2 days at the field. Just make sure you
do not discharge it too low. Lipo's don't
like that. I use mine on a Saito 82 and OS 70
4 stroke.

I use a 4S 3600 mah in mine and usually recharge after 2-3 trips to the flying field. I use this starter on a YS 110 and a YS 160 and it spins them easily. I'm always surprised at how little the amount of capacity is required to recharge. Typically, no more than 500 or 600 mah. I've been using this set-up for several years now, and have yet to have a problem. RS

Another great place for a lipo, 2s small mAh, Low C pack is for your electric fuel pumps. A rubber band around the pump and battery and it is very portable as well as light. I recharge after every weekend, same as I do my TX and reciever/ignition bayyerys. Motors are VERY forgiving of voltage so a 3S wouldn't be a problem either, say a 2200Mah?:):):)

Mike, That's a good idea that I'll have to try. Never thought about it before. I have quiet a number of lipo's laying around and needing work since I don't fly electrics anymore. RS
