two tips

I have two tips worth sharing. The first is to use mono filament line to tie servo extensions to the servo lead. Just loop a small piece of the fishing line between the wires and tie the line so it pulls the connectors together.
The second tip is for when you tighten some props against plastic spinners, I've had this problem with APC props where the spinner backplate will turn when tightening the prop nut making it frustrating to get the stops lined up with the side of the prop. I make up some discs of 120 grit sandpaper (approx 1" dia) and glue them paper to paper then place the disc between the prop and backplate.
This works for me.

Happy Flying:

Those are good tips. One other thing on APC props. Very few are flat on the back mating surface. Most are high on the blade section of the hub. A flat sanding bar and some 80 grit will make it level and give you a rough surface to help it hold to the spinner.

A better material than sandpaper for making props stay in place is plumber's open mesh sanding cloth. It is very coarse and rough on both sides. You can't make a prop slip when tightening it down with that stuff.

Great tips, I use Dental floss for the servo's, very strong and fairly cheap! Pete

I like floss as well. But mainly because the old eyes don't see monofilament too well any longer!

For tying servo extension leads together I prefer light sewing thread. Under normal useage they will stay put but if something catastrophic happens, the thread will break and save the connector, rather than tearing everytyhing apart.

Great tips guys. I've used the above methods for years. I will try the sanding cloth and sewing thread in the future.
I used to use black electrical tape for the connectors but as you all probably know it unravels after awhile.

Thanks:
Tom
