Monokote on edge of firewall

What's the best method to get the covering on the edge of the firewall stuck down real good so that it does not end up peeling when taking the cowl off or accidentally rubbing it etc ?

I generally overlap the firewall edge 1/4" to 3/8", just iron it down. I then rough up the overlap with steel wool, then seal the firewall with thinned epoxy, including the overlapped MoneyKote.

It may not be obvious from the previous posts, but the trick is to do the Monokote before you fuelproof the firewall.

WE use thinned epoxy to fuel proof firewall, then sand down fine and apply monokote over entire firewall. Dril holes for mount, control rod, & fuel line, then add minimal amount of epoxy into/around drilled holes.

Works great.

I use Balsarite, nice thing about it is that it is a fuelproofer too.

I have always used Balsirite and MonoKoted the entire engine compartment, I may have to go to something else now that I can't get Balsarite.
