Texx, can you post some pic and instructions on how and what you made the body mount posts out of on Big Crawler?
This would make the removal of the 1/6 NB crawler body very simple and fast[8D]

DARK ..

I do not know if you follow this mod, because ........I removed a lot of plastic ..

The body of BIG-crawler, is lowering the maximum .[X(]. and it is much lighter. [X(]

The floor is removed in its entirety. []
The dash is also removed .. []
I leave the rear, through a plastic (floor) to secure the hood-pins.
Up front, the 2-hood pins, through the hood ..
These hood-pins plastic, are made with black plastic hanger, they are glued and screwed in their anchor.
This work is easy to do .. [8D]
Take the right steps for the holes in the hood.
With this mod, remove the body, is very easy.
For the hood-pins, you can also buy a kit in the hobby stores.[sm=thumbup.gif]

subyman ..
You're right. Tinkering with rc / toys to make them more efficient is a great pleasure ..
I invest a few dollars in each model, and I enjoy a lot ..
BIG-CRAWLER, and YELLOW-CRAWLER are my favorite models, BIG-crawler is big and powerful, and it behaves quite well on rock and snow ..
Thank you for your comment.

YELLOW-CRAWLER .. 1/10 newbright RUBICON .. after mods .

SORRY TEXX, VERY BUSY, yes I have read your answers and they are appreciated.  I have had so very little time for my r/c's as of late, since you gave me the advice about securing the metal rod in each axle of the NB 1/10 crawlers.  I have secured one very well, the base was not broken by the way, and I will fix the second axle as soon as I get a chance.  My big crawler is a project in great waiting.  I am so very behind in so many things right now, but rest assured TEXX, people are still very interested.  Put up a new post and watch the view count, just not too many responses because of the wealth of information here currently.  Do not hold it against members for not posting, things will speed up again.[8D]

My electric bike SCHWINN ( 2 battery = 70 klm .. with little assistance)...serves me very well, to go to the mountain, with BIG-CRAWLER.

HELLO, friends ..

BIG-CRAWLER, stopped playing in the snow ..

His tire chains, will be stored for next winter.

Climbing over the frozen snow, was really a great sport, for BIG-CRAWLER.

The hexagonal, installed on the shaft of the differential, have done their work ..

I'll rework the center of 4 new rims for the installation of summer tires on metal hexagons.

The changes will tire more easily, with tires that keep their rims.

Upcoming games on the rock, is expected to begin towards the middle of May ..

Driving that big monster on the rock, will again be a great pleasure for me.

I hope that rc-toys fans ..will return on this forum for us to see their achievements.

THANKS .............................

Hoosts .. Thank you for your comment .. It is very appreciated ..

BIG-CRAWLER should go on the rocks very soon. [8D]

I have installed its summer tires, and fun should continue again this summer.

Its axles (exagogne) should be stronger, since they are metal ..

It was a nice project .. Now I can have fun with this big Jeep 4X4.

I'll probably be some new videos of his performance on the rock ..

Thank you again, and if you have a project for the forum, please do not hesitate, and join us.[sm=thumbup.gif]

Little video .. on the moooooonnnnnnnn

Hello ... Ronaldo95163 ..

Look at my thread (BIG-CRAWLER) and you'll see all the purchases I made, to improve this big, JEEP, 1 / 6
NEWBRIGHT.

My expenses are not overstated.

To crawl on the rock, your rc must be 4x4.

The model JEEP 1/6 NEWBRIGHT is a very good candidate.

The 1/10 is ok, for climbing (example - YELLOW-CRAWLER 1 / 10 newbright) but they are quite small.

Search on ebay, I have seen lately, few JEEP 1/6, and their price was reasonable.

New Bright LARGE 1/6 4- W-D Rubicon Rock Crawler Jeep

Item condition: Used

Time left: 17h 36m 24s (Jul 22, 201013:55:03 PDT)

Bid history: 1 bid[Refresh bidhistory]

Current bid: US $33.80

Tell me, what model you intend to purchase.

The LAND-ROVER, 1/6, is not a good candidate. Initially, you must find a rc possessing a very good flexibility.

Thereafter, you can improve it.

A system ESC will be required,

and some other small purchases ... oil shock .. good tires, very soft ..

Big-crawler climbs the rock again, and everything works perfectly.

Now my présense on this forum, is rather rare, I left the place, new members, to introduce some good projects from A to Z.

Excuse my English, I'm french and I work with a translator. Thank ..

Hello ..

Long ago that this thread didn't move.

Here's a little drawing that will maybe help a guy who owns a Jeep 1 / 6 Newbright and needs help.

Repair a broken-pivot, is a work quite difficult, []but achievable.

A former member had already worked on this problem, and
if I remember correctly, it looked like my little drawing.

The pieces come from a hardware store.

Good repair.

PS ..

((BIG-CRAWLER)) is still active and I may be a new video in the snow or after the melting of the snow.

texx awesome as usual! i'm starting a little project where i have this 1/6 nylint crawler and i got a new bright 1/6 hummer h2 body, i'm putting that body on and when i get the money i'll get some savage shocks and a 14,000 mah 2 celllipo to power it as it uses a lead acid battery now, and that should lighten it up a bunch.

zman5000 .. Thank you for your kind words.

The NYLINT 1 / 6 can be modified to make it a better crawler.

I was a member of the forum RCCRAWLER.COM with my 1 / 18 nylint ((BLACK-CAB)).

They have a lot of documentation, 1 / 6 NYLINT.

Will you open a new thread for this future project?

I am in slow motion right now in the field of rc.[]

I will take the job later (maybe)

Here's a little video of my old ((BLACK-CAB))
