HELLO ..

These are the items that I buy on EBAY ..

Congratulations TEXX .. the item is yours. Please pay now!

#################################################

+ (1) Body only JEEP 1/6 ... NEWBRIGHT ..

+ (2) frame with diff ..

And do not miss parts ..

############################################

The metal/bearing are very important .. this will be my first mod ..

I prepare the ground ..

I have not locked the front diff, the former owner had done the work .. The rear is already locked by the company ..

I opened the diff ..

REAR DIFF ..

This gear has two small plastic bearing, I will instead set up two metal / bearing ..

FRONT DIFF ...

I opened the diff .. I put some flat washer (spacer) to remove some loose gears .. FRONT and REAR ..

FRONT DIFF ...

Everything is ready to receive the metal / bearing

(4) little metal/bearing 3x8x3 ..

(10) big metal/bearing/6x12x4mm ..

I start the installation of metal/bearing ..

The 4 large bearing is not difficult to install in each diff ..

..BEFORE ..

..AFTER ..

I also enlarges the center of this small gear, with a little grater .. The 2 small bearing, were placed without difficulty ..

I greased the main parties, and close the diff / rear ..

I then cut the surplus pivot / axis ..

I lubricate the parts and reinstall the diff / rear ..

In a few days, I'll do the same work on the front/diff ..

These metal/bearing, certainly help to slow the wear of these shaft/axis ..

..THANK ..

The next mod will be installing a (home/made) WINCH ..

In the belly of the beast ((BIG-CRAWLER))

(( INSECTOR parts) ) for winch ..

Very strong motor .. Very strong gearing box ..

This winch is really very powerful ..

The INSECTOR rc ...

Parts of rc toy-used, can (occasionally) to help us tremendously ..

HELLO ..
I did a little test, just to assess the strength of my future ((WINCH))

My LAND ROVER, (with 2 battery) at a weight of 13 lbs ..

The winch is behaving very well .. it is very strong ..

Without fatigue, it raises my LAND ROVER, above the floor ..

I have to make a support .. and developed a plan to install on my ((BIG-CRAWLER)

################################################## ###

I put all my efforts on the BIG-CRAWLER, so that it is a good climber..

If BIG-CRAWLER stuck, it would depend may be without the help of another crawler .. :-)

Buy a rc/winch would have been good ..

but it would be installed in reinforcements and solidify anchorages bumper and frame ..

And this work would have been very difficult ..

I will rather choose to install this ( (HOME-MADE WINCH-INSECTOR )) inside the frame ....

I made some plans for the installation of the WINCH ..

I find this site, which seems to me ..

The shaft of the winch, pass completely through the plastic/frame, from one side to the other ..

I cut both ends of shaft, and installed two strong plastic reinforcements at each end ..

I still have to install a switch that works in both directions ((CENTER-OFF SWITCH TOGGLE DPDT)) I'll find this item at RADIO SHACK (THE SOURCE) ..

I solidify this winch ..
A piece of Plactic (tube), screwed into the floor of the frame under the motor, which prevents the motor back ..

And one screw to hold it in place.

At each end of the shaft, I screwed two pieces of plastic which solidify the shaft, which crosses the frame ..

These small pieces from the model 1/10 ..

##################################################

Small video showing the operation of the ..

(( INSECTOR/ SWITCH/BIG-CRAWLER )) without switch

It will operate with a 7.2 volt battery ..

I have purchased my switch .. I chose the model which automatically returns to center .. DPDT 20-Amp Momentary Flip Switch
$ 4.59 us .. $ 7,99 CDN
Model: 275-709

Enough switches to make you flip!

Get things started with this DPDT momentary flip switchspring-loaded to return to the center off position. Rated 20 amps at 12VDC.

I will keep your finger on the switch during its operation .. This will be a protection, not to break the wire ..

The winch pulls my Land Rover, which is placed aside.(13 lbs) ..

((( The switch is now installed on the chassis (accessible via the floor) and not on the console .. )))

The winch pulls 2 chair (22 lbs) and I think I could pull the table also

I do not know if I will keep this bumper ..

A bumper (metal) smaller, with the roller / guide to install it would be nice ..

This new bumper will be mounted directly to the frame ..

I love this crawler ..

I got my neighbor, this material, which is very good for a bumper ..

I cut and installed temporarily at the place where it will be fixed.

Perhaps I will paint in black .. and fix 2 small hook ..

This bumper will be painted in (black)

Remove this big body, had a ((BIG))job ..

I fixed this problem by installing plastic rods (solid plastic hanger) ..
The body slips into its old anchors, and it remains in place ..
It is set at the front and rear ..

FRONT ..

REAR ..

The center of the body, has (2) anchors .. I'll screw a long screw (by cutting off his head) as anchors, and once inserted into its hole, I'll screw (2) nuts/ears by the underside of the frame ..

The body is very solid, and the time to remove it will be shorter .. and less stressful ..

This bumper will be painted in (black)

..THANK ..

I lowered the roll/cage .. This gives him a look getter ..

I also remove some sticker .. The bottom of the door and also on the hood (those who were on the side) ) ..

I installed the 4 beadlock (plastic) directly on the rim ..

One day I might try, to produce metal ..

The look seems to be a good ..

-
I also removed the passenger-seat ((For individual crawling ))

I pasted a sheet of plastic on the floor before installing the carpet.
The relocation of the switch, is a good desicion .. The wire congestion is eliminated ..
