Well, kiddies, I have some news to break to you!!! This truck flies like a bat out of hell!!! I took 6 independent runs at this radar board and feel strongly that these results are good within ±5MPH as these radar boards are seldom calibrated. To make things proper, the slowest reading was 17MPH and the fastest, as show in the video, was 24MPH. Notice I did start when the board was blank, and had to weave a bit to get the gun to turn on as it's motion controlled to save the batteries in the box. Enjoy the video of "The Blue Streak" on oil shocks running from the law...

P.S.: I have to give credit to the neighborhood kids for watching my back. Behind me was a 4-way intersection with stop signs that I was standing in the middle of to block traffic from hitting the radar gun's beam and my truck. So, basically, I went from doing 10-15MPH when racing the ice cream truck on spring shocks to 17-24MPH when running on oil shocks. Not shabby!!!

Show that video to your bro-in-law, Nat. I'm sure he'll crap his pants when he sees how fast a truck running on penlight batteries goes!!! I wasn't really expecting it myself until I took a look at the numbers on the board. I thought I was dreaming the first time. Thought I didn't drink enough beers the second time. But after the 3rd-6th runs, it pretty much confirmed it. I really had no idea that an electic truck running on oil shocks could go that fast. I'm sure it's not a land speed record for an electric truck, but have any of you seen a New Bright haul *** like this??? No, I'm not expecting you to call out the police department like I did to find out. Working in cable TV has its perks!
NO RADAR BOARD???
NO COMMISSION MEETING COVERAGE FOR YOU!!!

HA! HA! HA!
...just kidding!!!

Oil shocks first... if you get better tires without getting better shocks, it's like having erasers on a pencil... they'll rub down to nothing from the lack of give in the suspension.

The shocks I have are 4.5" long... you won't have to worry about wheel base. Believe me!!! The truck jumped up like someone rammed a stick in its *** when I put these on. Don't go with crap spring shocks or me, lou, Nat, and Red will come over there and smack some sense into you!!!

That's OK, but this (courtesy of Nat): http://www.tamiyaclub.com/moviecomment.asp?id=3601
is MUCH MORE what I was going for!!!... of course, with a MUCH BETTER landing! The ramp shown above is the EXACT ramp used in this video!!!, albeit with a different brand label as this was most likely shot in the U.K. and couldn't use the U.S. endorsements. Can you imagine The Blue Streak sailing over one of these puppies?

Here's the pic of the bag... just remember the sales tax in Cali is twice that of Florida. 6% vs. 12%
