if you are able to easily remove the pinion go for it. then the snowmobile wont dig down on take off and will have a higher top speed. if i were you i would use the 12 tooth pinion

OK .. NEYOU86 ..

I'll take a little rest, and later I'll remove the motor .. I'll try to change pinions, ..[8D]

I'll install the 12 tooth (hope that the shaft of motor 351, accepts this 12 tooth pinion) ..

THANK ..[sm=thumbup.gif]

This land is full of trap for snowmobile [8D]

After studying (my videos) and see my POLARIS overturn ... [X(]

Before repair schock/spring .....

I replaced the stock/spring, but I cut a coil, and I stretch, some little.

The Polaris will be more stable, and reverse, less often.

The new shocks, I had installed were a little too soft ..[sm=thumbup.gif]

.. stock spring .................... new spring ..

HELLO ..
I lowered the rear suspension, (1/4 inch) ..

I insert ( stick to hot glue ) two small piece of plastic (plastic hanger) above the shaft, which holds the spring suspension ..

I'll do a little test, when the temperature permits.

This will help maybe the CG of POLARIS.

When do you think ?

Now that my new computer works well,

I'll go take a little video, to test the new suspension ..

The POLARIS, overturn perhaps less often.

Directly into the hole ...

First off Sorry for the Necro posting

I have a POLARIS-LIBERTY 700 I want to change up, because frankly it's too painfully slow and has no range. (20' max)
I picked it up a few years ago brand new From Walmart. It was on Clearance for $25 but I soon found out with it's limited range and slow speed it just wasn't fun.
I want to beef it up and make it fun

First off, I can't figure out how the body comes off to actually get to the electronics. (Anyone help? Pics would be appreciated)
I'm use to hobby grade RC where I just remove body clips and can easily gain access to everything.

Next, I see Texx did his mods with other toy grade vehicle parts. What I'd like to know is can I put real RC parts into this?
I'd like to add one of my 2.4 ghz receivers to start with, and more than likely a Traxxas ESC and Motor combo.
(I'm considering a Hobby Wing Brushless system, but not sure the toy grade internal parts like the gears could handle the power)

Has anyone made these types of mods?
Can someone point me in the right direction??

there is 4 screws on the bottom side.. 2 in the back toward the beggining of the track.. then there is 2 inside just infront of the metal suspension plate. you can put mod 380 motors in it but you will most likely have to make your own gear box. some people use a belt and pulley system. then you can go brushless no problem. then you can make a mount for a 540 or 550 motor depending on what you want to do. keep us posted
