OK My oil shocks came today. I remembered one of the simple machines and rules of physics to help me.
I mounted it lower than the Upper "fulcrum" or pivot point. It allows much more travel. If I mounted it where TechyJoe Mountd it, I got a little less than an inch of "thorw" up and down. BBut If I mounted it lower, I got a little over an inch and a half!!
I am making a new front swing bar to becuase I do not like the little slides and such. Plus I broke the stock one. I have a method that is verysimple, but it would take forever to spell it out now, when I could just show you a picture tomorrow after I make it.
But here are some pictures of the modified rear suspension.

Got all this done today. Still need to let the epoxy set up, and then I'll get the holes drilled.
Any questions please ask.
Edit: picture uploader doesnt seem to be working, I'll upload them later.

Here is everything assembled. I don't have the bearing secure-ers on in these pix. They are the black pieces of plastic with a half circle at the bottom, in my previous post.

So I am also into planes, and this brushed ESC came along with one of the planes that I upgraded to BL, So I hooked up one of the headlights (I broke the other one, still trying to work my neighbor into selling me his unmodded one for backups) But I have that light hooked up and I have it mixed with the throttle channel, so the more throttle engaged, the brighter the light is. Thats how it is on my real snowmobile because the generator puts out more electricity (Higher voltage) when the throttle is engaged the RPM goes up making more power. Its actually pretty cool, although it doesn't show up well in the video.

Thanks!!
The road was SUPER slippery and I wasn't using full throttle in fear of crashing into the curb.
Man I can't edit my post to make it so the video is embedded here, becasue the server was down. Thats been happening a lot here to me lately. Same with RC Groups. Lots of issues there too.:/
They're probably come up with some excuse like solar flares or somthing=D
I had also made a jump in my backyard, I got 5 ft distance (I measured) and 3 feet high of air. I could get much more easily. My suspension shock mounting places have the PERFECT amount of tension, the suspension performs wonderfullly!!!
I might go out to the UP of MI to go real snowmobiling later this month, If I did I would bring the RC one too to test it out in some Pow
ITs supposed to be 60 here tomorrow, looks like Winter is over

My son has one of these RC snow mobiles. A Ski Doo rotax 800, and the battery tray and rear cover to lock the tray in have been broken. I am having the hardest time fining a replacement! Is there any info you, or anyone else reading this, can give us to get my son back to it. I would appreciate any help given! Even if there is some kind of conversion kit to upgrade the battery tray etc, that would be fine too! Any help would be appreciated!

A few things you can try:
1. Sometimes Ebay sellers have parts for sale (search for "RC Snowmobile"). I found this for you but not sure if it is what you are looking for: https://www.ebay.com/itm/17449623196...cAAOSwpqJfmK-i
2. If you know someone with a 3D Plastic printer, you can have the part made.
3. The simplest approach is to scrap the tray. Buy some Velcro strips and Velcro into place. Just wrap a few strips around the battery and apply opposite (hook/loop) Velcro strip to Ski-Do and away you go. I use this all of the time for all my RC vehicles (car, planes, boat, snowmobiles etc.).
