1/6 Monster Tundra Build..........With Pictures !!!

1 Attachment(s)
Hey Guys, I wanted to post a vehicle evry couple days or so..................i have many i've done and I'm sure that those of us who build them are quite proud of them after the time, effort and $$ that goes into them..........i sure am of mine. Thanks for looking, i hope you enjoy these as well as my F350 posted a couple days ago.

Vehicle:

1/6 Scale Fast Lane Tundra 4X4 with STEEL shafts and Drive cups.
30" long
Big chevron 6" tires are stock......nice soft rubber!!
Chrome 3" wheels also stock..............foams have been added
Futaba receiver
Duratrax sprint 10 cell esc
Tamiya GT Tuned motor 25T
8 cell 3800 nimh batt
Futaba 3305 servo-HIGH TORQUE!
Custom Aluminum Ladder frame
Custom Steel driveshaft
Oil filled Blue anodized shocks
LED Head and Tail Lamps
Custom made Rubber Fender Flares

This sucker is built very well for a "toy" grade..............The steel drive shafts and cups really impress me.

It really Rocks out on the dirt, the motor is super torquey, and it has a pretty darn good top speed too.

I will post vids of all my rigs when i figure out how to download them properly

Oh i remember seeing a 1/6 tundra that looked exactly like this one (well the body anyways) at my local toyrus. Ive had heard that the tranny is alot similar to the radioshack trucks too. Nice work on the chassis.

Its by FastLane and i think you're right, Toys "r" us sold them as one of their main RC brands. Its probably the best built "toy" grade i've ever seen. Double A-arm suspension at all four corners, steel pins everywhere, steel drive shafts and cups. This may sound crazy..........but i have an EZ run 60 amp esc and a 2300kv brushless motor sittin around...........Dare i stick it in there[X(]

It is true that these rc / toys are very well built ..[sm=thumbup.gif]

I already had a Hummer-MATTRACK, and with its motor 540, It has good power ..

It was built in the same manner as the Tundra, and I install a body of JEEP / RUBICON and I had thinned the belly ..

I'll maybe get a Tundra 4X4, and make a few mods ..[8D]

Thats exactly what i did.............it had this big stupid looking belly hanging down, and all it did was house the drive shaft. I took it out completely and added my aluminum frame rails...........basically bolted both ends together with 'em. Now it looks like a real truck from the side. I love your Jeep body..........looks real tough on that chassis. How did you get rid of your "belly"?

P.S. - whats the orange truck, i like the way the motor sits...........thats how my tundra motor fits in, mounted longways.

Heres a pic of my jeep body on my daughters hobby grade...................and my sons New bright with all hobby grade electronics, we went muddin that day
