T-Maxx Model. I understand this is always asked. (pics)
I recently bought this used T maxx from a friend. I've been learning how to tune and optimize the car. What im wanting to know now is what model # it is. If anyone could point me in a better direction that would be much appreciated. Thank you for reading.

There's two versions of the Tmaxx 3.3 truck. This is the first version, with reverse, 14mm hex wheels and the original 2.5 length chassis. The new version has an extended chassis, no reverse, 17mm hex wheels and taller tires.
With the exception of the chassis, chassis braces and body, all parts are completely interchangable between the two. The only thing I'm unsure of is the transmission case, I've heard the mounting pattern is different between the two. The first 3.3 Tmaxx is basically a 2.5 chassis with new parts bolted to it, the newer 3.3 Tmaxx chassis is longer and supposedly has a different mounting bolt pattern for the trans case. The internal parts of the trans are definitely interchangable though.

First I made a mistake, none of the Tmaxx models come with 17mm hubs. Sorry about that.
Second, your truck is not a 4907 model. The 4907 model is the second version of the Tmaxx 3.3 and has the longer chassis, no reverse and larger diameter tires. Compare your truck to the 4907 pics, the 4907 chassis is shaped differently up front by the steering servo because that's where Traxxas made it longer.
Your truck is either the first version of the TMaxx 3.3 or a Tmaxx 2.5r. The first 3.3 and 2.5r are identical except for the engine. Look at the side of the engine to see if it's a 3.3 or 2.5r. You may have to remove the fuel tank as one side has the engine size and the other says TRX, I forget which side says which. As I said before, your truck needs the shorter Tmaxx 2.5 classic bodies, but all the 4907 trans gears, diff parts, axles, etc will go right into your truck. Your truck will not accept the following 4907 parts, chassis plate, chassis braces, body and the transmission case. Who cares about the actual model number, that's the important stuff you need to know.

My Tmaxx has seven screws for the transmission, I've read that there should be eight. I believe that was on Traxxas.com in reference to the 2.5R
My truck has a rubber plug where there should be reverse along with plastic servo mounts on the chassis. I assume mine is the older model with a FOC
