Traxxas 3.3 to 2.5 conversion??????
have a great project i wanted to start but then started thinking negatively. Was wondering if i could swap 3.3 tmaxx parts to a 2.5 chassis ? are the 3.3 parts a direct fit onto a 2.5 chassis? or i should be asking ,is this even possible?

The answer is mostly, there are a couple exceptions. The 3.3 knuckles, axles, arms and tie rods must stay together. The 2.5 knuckles won't accept 3.3 axles and vice versa. The 3.3 knuckles will bolt onto 2.5 arms but the thicker 3.3 axles will hit 2.5 arms. The 3.3 arms are thinner near the center hinge pin mount (rpm arms have a dimple) so the thicker 3.3 axles don't hit. The 3.3 tie rods are a different length than 2.5 versions due to the new knuckles.
The other exception is the transmission. The grey transmission has a different bolt pattern than the 2.5 blacks trans. The differential outer cases and internals are also totally different between the two. But 3.3 diffs are stronger and fit into 2.5 bulkheads and vice versa.
All other parts are interchangeable between the two models.
