Default Just wanted some thoughts about the e revo 2.0

Greetings people of the internet. I used to own the e revo 1.0 brushed then I slapped in a mamba monster in the thing and had a blast with it on 6s. Sadly one lipo gave out, burst flames and burnt the damn thing up. Its been years since I've owned a erevo and I would like to get one again. I've been looking at the erevo 2.0 and it has gone down in price over the years. I saw a used one for 550 2 3s lipos and a dual charger, all traxxas stuff. Would that be worth shooting an offer. I know servos are an issue along with other odds n ends but nothing too crazy. I've been all over the web and ebay and sorts so I have a base line of what gotta pay for one of these. Just wanted some input if its worth it or if I should look towards something else. Appreciate the input

I had an E-Revo 1.0 and I'm on my second Summit. (same platform)
After seeing what they did to improve the E-Revo, I would buy one in a second. They addressed all the weak points, except maybe the servos. That dual steering servo setup is stupid. No matter what you do, there will be a point where they are fighting each other and one will eventually strip or burn out. Then, the other one burns out shortly afterwards.

The differentials are greatly improved. It has the latch-on body with a ruggedized roof.

One important thing is to treat your batteries right, so if you do make an offer on the truck, consider the batteries a bonus. Make sure the seller insulates the battery terminals and pads them properly before shipping and declares them properly to the shipper. Or just tell him keep the batteries, mark the price down accordingly and you'll buy new ones.

Buy an extra set of suspension pushrods, as they're the first thing to go in a frontal collision with anything. Plan on a Savox steering servo in the near future. Other than that, you're all set.

Buy esc with the Harvey Wing max8
Setting it to low voltage cut 3.4 can avoid the risk of battery bursting.

Hey Rito I hope you have good luck getting a new e-Revo. I've had the e-Revo for a long time, and I'm not sure how to tell if it's a 1.0 or 2.0, but it was fun until someone that used it wrecked it. I hope you get back into it and have a blast. I did buy a new servo motor just today actually.

Just picked-up a new E-Revo 2.0 yesterday and ran it this morning without any issues. Nothing crazy, just some testing on pavement and short grass at the park. It's insanely fast but, easy to control and a pleasure to drive. Got into an unexpected drag race with a dachshund and blew his doors off. LOL
