Attention ! need help First Traxxas Purchase
Im going to be purchasing a new Traxxas Monster truck. I could use some helpful suggestions.
I have some experiance building them and running them so im not exactly a beginner. I like Nitro alot better then electric.
What im looking for is, ease of use , durability, performance and just flat out good fun.
Im considering going with a Revo, T-maxx or sport-maxx.
I would like a RTR package.
Im sure every one has there preferences.. so all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I dont really intend to race much..but i might once in a while. I dont plan on launching it over my house either. TYhis will mostly be a "for fun" truck.
Als where are the best places to purchase...im willing to buy online.

I have a T-maxx so i guess I am a little biased to the T-maxx but im sure you will have alot of fun no matter what your choice. I got mine RTR with fuel an batteries from hobbytron.com for around 360$ with a 10% off cupon. The T-maxx also has by far the biggest line of aftermarket parts. Hope this helps
Ps: I believe that Hobbytron.com is the best price (at least it was last christmas when i got mine)

I love my sportmaxx. It needs a 2-speed to keep up with the T but it handles better. Just depends on what you're going to be driving on. If it is really rough, you will need the 4wd and possibly reverse of the T-maxx. Plus my Sportmaxx was $309. You can get it and some hop-ups for the price of a T-maxx.

heh...i thought i made it retty clear.
So far im leaning twards the S-maxx. Its a bit cheaper plus the local track in the area has a nice size T-maxx/ S-maxx class.
Ive seen and heard alot of good things about the Savage as well. Durability is prob the best coming from the Savage.

RE: Attention ! need help First Traxxas Purchase
thx guys for the help. i decided to go with the s-maxx.
i really love the truck. It broke in well and flys on grass, pavement and the track.
I might consider reverse but i doubt ill upgrade to 4wd. This truck is fast as hell out of the box and very affordable.
With tax, gas and a couple small items i was able to get a nitro MT for $350.00

there are not a lot of options realy, but I would go with the tmaxx or sportmaxx , they have a lot of aftermarket potential.
