well got to take out my revo with the imex header and tuned pipe, wow,it performs pretty well, temps at250,wheel stands any time you want.still got alittle treaking to do on the lsn, pipe ends even with the body of the truck,no problem getting in the way of the suspension, its a single tip so theres plenty of back pressure, the header itself is abigger i/d than stock, and the pipe has a nice tone to it.overall i am pleased with this set up.its FAST

NitroHouse has the shims you need. Those guys are great! They've always had what I need and get it to you with quickness. Go to their site, click on the motor you need parts for and it will have a link to their parts list. MotorSaver make a filter specifically for Maxx and Revo that has a little notch in the neck that's designed to clear even the biggest spur gears. I've been running one on my Picco powered T-Maxx for over 6 months now with no issues.

I ordered some shims from nitrohouse for this motor because i want to run 30% nitro but the shims wont fit around the head button like the ones do that came on the motor . They were part numbers 51342 and 51343. The inside diameter of the shim is to small and wont go around the head button . Is it maybe a mis package ?? I emailed them and waiting for them to get back to me. Let me know if you ran into this . Thanks .

put the revo thru its paces today, jumped it,flipped, cartwheeled it,whooped it.2 things i have to change,do the foc,and widen the stance of the truck so it corners a little better.other than that the stock revo held up to the .26 way better than my maxx did.and the good news is that the track i used to go to started back up the unlimited m/t class and a all revo class.cant wait to see how the .26maxx compares to the others.

Hi guys, finally joining the darkside. Buying a brand new one for $145 with rotostart. I hear the THS pipe is most popular for this engine so which model do I buy? Sorry if this has been mentioned but I'm running on dial up which is plain slow[&o] Thanks.

yes the ths is very popular, some are running it with an o.s.header,some run the MGT short pipe/ stock header(slight mod.to run this set up)some run the trinity set up with success,i run an IMEX tuned pipe and header on mine.your gonna have alot of options/opinions on this subject, you will have to experiment a little to find one the performs the way you want it to

no,its really not ,does not let the engine breath enough,to restrictive of an exhaust, also can cause other prblems from the excessive back pressure.tank o-rings,carb.0-rings,trust me learned that the hard way

Guess what!? When I finally refreshed the auction page with this SLOW *$$ dial up which took 5 minutes someone bought the damn thing. [sm=48_48.gif] Guess Ill have to wait around for another deal

when you do get one...something you will not have is fuel milege....this thing is a thirsty hogg...b4 I went DSM I had to share a channel with a guy running a stock Revo 3.3 and he would literally have double the driver stand time as me...doing the 1 tank each thing.

this was prolly menetioned already but i cannot get my engine to start... ive taken it apart who knows how many times to see. ive changed the glow plugs . i use a roto start n its all charged.. ive started at factory settings .even with hsn and 7 turns out lsn. correct me if im wrong please lol. but i go to start n it wont ill give it a little throttle n itll run but then die if i let off. so i adjust the idle and it will run but then all of a sudden rev really high n when i turn down the idle it dies.... i use odonnels fuel check for leaks n everything but just cannot get it to start!!! ahhh someone please help i had to change the front bearing before cuz it was leaking n now im just thinking of returning the engine to see if theyll replace it cuz its frustrating!!!!

OK I'll try to help you. You said you took it apart right. This may sound dumb but maybe you put the piston in backwards. There is a notch in the piston than is supposed to face the front of the engine. It is there to clear the crank. It is easy to put in wrong if you don't pay attention. It will run just like you said. Hard to start and can get to run if you stay on the throttle but dies as soon as you let off.

here it goes ,recently put this beast in my stock revo, was fairly impressed to say the least, but started having tranny probs, and i handling went down hill with the added speed,so i installed a FOC,solved the tranny prob, for handling i tried a set of hpi hellfire 1/2 inch offset rims with zombie maxx tires, widened the stanch by a full inch, now this revo is AWESOME,also tried a duratrax lr3 plug in it ,the picco really seems to like this plug,

cool glad to here your enjoying the darkside lol
anyway i have decided to ditch the hpi ribbed pipe it does not restrict the picco enough for any low to mid performance i had to put a revo delfector on to help with it and trying to find or modify a header for it is impossible with out leaking and would not last long
what i am asking is what side pipe and header will fit the picco 26 max
really need to get out and bash by end of week lol
