I have a revo with eb modded novavossi 528XR and I'm looking for TOP speed.

I currently have a 1/8 scale 3 shoe clutch setup with 20/36 gears (savage 20t clutch bell).

looking for a bigger 1/8 scale clutch bell like 22t or even bigger 23t, 24t

maybe even a 35t or smaller spur gear. (I know 3racing makes a 35t spur, looking for someone in the US.)

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried a 23 cluchbell on my old revo with the Mega .26 smallblock ( picco max )....and it would fall on it's face around 50mph...I think it will run better with a 19 or 20 clutchbell....and prob a 36 or smaller spur....

really, why is that?

so you were able to go faster with a smaller bell? what combo worked to move your truck the fastest with your motor?

the larger bell actually bogged the motor because it did not have the rpm or power to take advantage of it....It ran best with a 20bell 36spur combo....now the larger ,28 might have the juice to benefit from the larger bell.....

im running 20/36 with a wide ratio and it seems to have plenty of top speed... the tires wanna come off the rims! they get all distorted and out of balance which kills rpms. to go any faster we need better tires. if your only racing onroad imex makes foams, id like to try em!

Get road rage tires, duct tape them on the insides, to prevent ballooning, get a Novarossi 528XR with a 23 clutch bell, and you should be able to push that gearing easily

the Imex foams are never in stock, I have a pair and have been waiting on the second pair to complete my set for at least a month or more....all their stuff comes from China so when they run out...you are waiting for ever....

But the 40 series road rages with 3m duct tape work very well....and last along time...also, if you don't mind the weight added by the beadlocks, you can replace the duct tape when it goes bad and get longer use out of your tires..

YOu could try a direct drive, as in get rid of the slipper and put a belt around the clutchbell and tranny input shaft, it would be alot of work but it may work realy well, maybe eaven a chain, but you would have to get a center diff and just run 2wd, or you would probuly eat a tranny every 10 minets. It sounds like miami has a rc shop so he could do it

just buy a slayer trans gear and put it in your revo transmission....with the slayer gear and 15-36 gearing i was hitting 60mph. and 18-36 i was hitting 65mph

will they fit right in my tranny? mine has the foc (forward only) kit in it. let me know if these would work and would it be a lot faster than it is now???it is all stock besides a 4.6 hpi big block. let me know, thanks

yepper man thats the set u want..... tyhen get a 36 tooth spur and a stock 18 tooth bell and it will flat fly...youll loose a lil off the line but will make it up quick...good luck mike...just remember the slayer is 95% revo so most everything will work...its based off of the 2.5 revo but trans diffs all the goodies are the same the gearing is different because its designed to be a short course racer....keep us informed

i wasnt able to get to the shop today but im going first thing in the morning tomorow. is that link for the 18t and 36t gears or the 15t and 36t gears??? should i be able to hit 60mph with them in my revo?it has a 40t spur, 15t bell, and a 4.6hpi bb. everything else is stock. let me know, i apreciate all the help you have been!thanks!

I just got that part in the mail and it looks like its for vehicles with Reverse? My truck has a forward only kit in it, will this traxxas part #5996 still work? Or do I need to return it.
