Cheap way to beef up the center u-joints
If anyone's ever messed w/ the stock axles and center driveshafts on 3.3's, you may have noticed that the axle yokes are beefier than the center driveshaft yokes.
Today I ripped a center rear yoke and thought I had extras in the toolbox but had some axle yokes instead. Got creative with the Dremel and notched the yoke just like the OEM center yoke so the ball & pins would slip in and made it fit. This yoke has not only thicker mounting ears, but also has more girth. This yoke should last a bit longer than the stockers.
You'd think the center diff. yokes would be bigger than each individual axle but they're not.
