Im talking about going to my desktop, right clicking, scrolling over new, and left clicking bitmap images, lol, then when im done, i just throw it in the trash

If you are running the windows operating system, open your picture with PAINT, click IMAGE at the top, and select Stretch/Skew, now only mess with the top part which is Skew. Put in like 50 for horizontal and 50 for vertical and save the file to a new name on you desktop or wherever. Now right click the file you just saved and select Properties, select Summary at the top, click advanced at the bottom if you don't see a bunch of info, now you can see the wdith and height in pixels and you can play with paint to make the pic the correct size to use as an avatar.

Click [link=http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx]here[/link] for a microsoft powertoy that'll resize images for you... download it and then alll you need to do is right click on any image and set the dimensions you're after.
