Default OPTIDRIVE with FOC?!!

I think most persons will agree that the optidrive is a crappy system! I have converted my revo
to FOC (forward only Conversion). I converted because the optidrive kept automatically switching my truck into reverse thus stripping the gears. I think the optidrive has a built in failsafe which i would still liked to make use of.

Will the optidrive work even though i have a FOC setup and no shift servo? Anyone still using the optic drive with FOC?

it will work, but you have to plug the opti drive sensor back in otherwise you get no throttle, i'd just buy an after market fail safe, much easier.

agreed, plus once you take out the optidrive, micro servo, linkages, and whatever else comes out makes the truck lighter too. you buy a failsafe for $15.
