RB v12 in a revo?
Can a rb v 12 fit in a revo? I know the rb will run the 2.5r into the ground when its in a stadium truck, but were talking more weight in the revo. It was just an idea, Im thinking it might work if it mounts up.

It should fit and the Revo can use a bump start so, I don't see why not?[sm=confused.gif] Although it may have different mounting holes and they don't make a after market small block mount for any other engines then the OS,2.5,3.3,Picco .26 and the RB 323 and 523.

the 323, 523, and picco .26 are mid-blocks, and the 2.5 and 3.3 are small-blocks, so any .12 will fit. as for performance, look up the power ratings on the motors, it probaly has more power than the 2.5.

it's a .12!!! I bet it won't have enough torque to get a Revo moving, the horsepower ratings on .12s are low...not to mention wasn't the trx 2.5 rated like the most powerful .15 or something rather by rcca? hmmm...I wouldn't do it...you really need a big block...why do you think big trucks don't come w/ .12s to begin with...there is simply not enough horsepower!! Fisr off a stadium truck weighs in at like 4 lbs, and a Revo is what, 9lbs...you don't need a lot of hp in a st but in a mt you do...verdict=no on the .12, go w/ at least a .15, and that's at the minimum...

RE: RB v12 in a revo?
horse power has nothing to do with getting the truck moving, that is all torque. and .12 engines are usually race motors, race motors make alot of power because they have a given displacement to work with and they try to get the most power possible out of an engine. while a .15 is a bash motor, meaning that it is made to be cheap and get the job done, thare are no race .15 engines, because the major rules don't allow them in most classes (ROAR IFMAR etc). most race .12 engines will have more power than a .15 like the 2.5r, I believe that the 2.5 has like .95 horsepower and hardly any torque, while most .12s have about 1.6 horsepower. horsepower means nothing if the engine isn't designed right.

ok, so it won't have enough torque...So then why don't monster trucks have .12 engines? Truggies? Buggies? There simply isn't enough power...

RE: RB v12 in a revo?
I know th rb v12 will kill the 2.5r when the are in stadium trucks, and I also know that the .21 and .28 will kill the .12 engines. I'll give it a try, its my sons truck and I just dont think hes ready for all the crazy speed a .21 or .28 will bring.
Whats needed to run a .21 in a revo? Im figuren a engine mount kit, but what about header and exhaust? Im running the mamba .21 in my truggy, thinking obout tossen one of those in it if th boy can run the .12 ragged.
Thanks

instead of going BB go with a drop in like the O.S. .18tm more power than the 2.5r and comparable to the 3.3. plus it's a little more cost effective.
