Default Info on the Revo 3.3

Hello All,
I am looking into getting into nitro monster trucks. I have a good amount of experience with both nitro powered boats and gas powered boats. After doing research I decided that the revo seemed to be a very good choice. Any information that can be given is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Alex

Cant go wrong with a revo for anything you do. The best truck traxxas makes by far.

Alex, just do LOTS of reading and searching here and you'll see that the REVO is one of the BEST nitro trucks out. Lots of parts and upgrades available for it too. Even the Traxxas site has a forum with the REVO in it http://monster.traxxas.com/

Good luck with it and post pics of the truck.

If your gonna bash I would go with the T-MAXX if you your gonna race & bash go with the Revo, just my opinion some others may disagree, i just think the T-MAXX can take more of a beating.

although i love the revo, i dont really liek then in stock form, personally if you were to get into surface, i would go an LST2, or better again, a truggy.

I agree, the Revo has great potential, but out of the box, you can't race it (at least, you can't win...), and you'll have to upgrade it to bash.

If you really, really want to race, get a truggy. Just remember, you can't do anything else.

If you want to bash pretty much out of the box, get an Lst2. Now, I know somebody is going to say Savages are awesome basher, but if you look at the hard core Savage basher, they're as heavily modified as Revo bashers. This is just my 2 cents. I'm not trying to start a flame war or something...

But, if you like, no love, to work on things like I do, build a Revo! All it takes is a lot patience, money, time, money, skill, and money.

i agree. i think it'd be more fun to buy a revo and mod the crap out of it if u have the money. there is so much u can do to it. i think that would be more fun than spending the money on a truggy.

ive had a revo for a while and with the right upgrades it can be a great racer and basher, one of the things i love the most is you can raise or lower it in minutes. when its lowered all the way, it sticks the street almost like a nitro street car.

A Revo was my first rc truck and I haven't regretted it once (although my wife and bank account probably think otherwise!). It's super easy to work on, drives absolutely great and there are a ton of aftermarket parts for it. If I were looking at another MT...the LST2 would probably be the next on my list.

I had my revo for 1 1/2yrs and its a awesome truck endless mods and fun to drive easy to work on! it was my first nitro to and I couldn't of asked for any more of a awesome truck!

I don't recall who said the revo was not good for racing out of the box but if you take a stock revo and take it to the track against other stock mt's its gonna come out on top! but I would recommend some bow-ties if your gonna race, cause the stock ones aren't that good on the track IMO.
