Good temp for OS .21TM in revo?
Ive been getting between 210-245F. Are these good temps or should they be higher/lower?
Im using the resonator pipe and O'donnel 20% fuel and the OS header.

RE: Good temp for OS .21TM in revo?
thats really about perfect, that is if there is a perfect temp. tune more by performance and sound, dont just rely on the temps. the o.s. 21tm in my t-maxx like to run 220-230, and one of my o.s. 18tm likes to run 270 and my other o.s. 18tm likes to run 240. alot of it just depends on how the engine likes to run. i only watch temps so i dont get it way to hot.

A lot of people care to much about temps. Just don't let her get above 170. Fish Killer said it best. So long as you can see a smoke trail your good. My OS .2tm runs around 260.

thats nice
Mine will run 190 with traxxas fuel. I run O'Donnell. 20% race fuel and love it. If the motor last me 6 months to a year I'm good with that. So long as I see smoke I'm good. I'm not the Guy with a temp meter on my neck, lol.

I keep good eye on temps. During break in and then tuning it in..then observe it occasionally for about one gallon..after that i'll check it about every gallon..I run byrons 30% that's all I've ever ran in my os engines..that fuel allows you to tune it and forget it..I don't adjust my carb. Hardly ever ...it holds its tune like a dream

Sounds like everyone is very happy with their 21TM. I'm rippin my TRX 20 out very soon and putting in a 21TM. Years ago when I flew planes I ran nothing but O.S. motors and never had ne issues with them what so ever. I currently have the 37 in my raptor 30 and the la 46 in another plane I built last yr, They run like a dream. If I were forced to come up with something negative about O.S. only thing that comes to mind is their a bit pricey compared to other motors but in this case I think you get what you pay for, plus not to mention O.S. has been make motors since the early '40s so I think they know what they are doing. Funny thing is the TRX manual says 210-220, ne thing over that they consider too hot, guess traxxas can't build em like os lol
