Heck his Revo MAY be able to stomp it in a race, BUT I bet when you are done, you are going to have a BULLET PROOF Tmaxx!!!!

He must be runnin' a Picco Red Dot !! [X(]

that's what i was thinking of running but i haven't decided completely on the engine and pipe. it really depends on the driver though. i've never raced before in an ordered race b/c there isn't one anywhere near me so he would definitely beat me.

haha ya mine will shine[8D]

Heck why not run the Picco? Seems like one of the best/cheapest engine out there right now...

From the looks of it, you are going to have one heck of a 'TANK' there!! I can't wait to see more as you progress in your build!!! [sm=thumbup.gif]

i was thinking that or an 18tz. it won't be THAT heavy lighter than my other maxx! im not planning on racing it though. just a fun truck with rare parts and an incredible resale value! even though im not gonna sell it.

Sounds good to me... I see Maxx's ALL the time on ebay/craigslist that are all hopped up on Integy/RDLogics aluminum, and granted they put ALOT of money into it, to make it all aluminum, and then try to sell it for $1000-1500, but then again, Integy is made from cheap aluminum, so its basically spending that much to be a shelf queen...

Looks like YOU are doing it a BETTER way though... I am eager to see how it goes for you!!!

I always tell my wife that it's better than me doing DRUGS or being an ALCOHOLIC... And cheaper than the 4 wheeler that I want, still working on talkin' her into letting me get one... I'm pacified for now with my RC addiction though... [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

Keep the pics coming cmerritt [sm=thumbup.gif]

Quick question for you: You said you are busy with school... Do you work to buy all of this stuff? How much do you have into this truck? ( In case you are wondering I am thinking you are a high school or collages student, obviously making good money, what do you do ?)

I'm a junior in high school. I just got a job at Ace Hardware about 3 weeks ago. I pay for this with allowance, selling rc stuff, and birthday/holiday $$$$. The economy is also very helpful for me as a buyer.

So far here's the prices...
chassis $160
monoblock- $60
shock towers and shocks $115
wing mount - $35
bulkheads $115
strobe braces $65
nickle servo mounts -$30
FFRC carbon radio tray$20
Ti skids -$35
HCR Ti front bumper $30
Hi-Impact Arms - $185
TRansmission w/ UE input & CNR brakes-$75
Tony Screws- $35
Wing & mount- $25

Total: $985 [X(] wow that's honestly the first time I've added it up.

I'm probably forgetting some stuff but that's the major stuff. I still need UE 8 spyder diffs, UE 8mm cvd's, UE Gen IV, and engine. I have the suspension coming for xmas which is going to be the single most expensive thing.

I have paid for everything myself. And yes i do have a car which i pay for the gas etc.
