if you do a big block conersion, get a picco .28. it will not be fun to drive your t-maxx anymore. there wil be no control. this engine makes the hpi k5.9 engine look weak. it is the most powerful engine you can posibly put in a t-maxx (besides novarossi .28)

Go with the Picco .26 Red Dot. Will give you crazy power and still be fun to dive. And all you need to change is the motor mount.
Thats the way I went anyway.

.26 RedDot is good but since you want the baddest. Get the Picco .28FTT or Novarossi 528r. If you need more power than that, go here[link=http://www.abmods.com/]ABMods.[/link]

well they said the picco .28 and nova would make it not fun anymore. im not professional level driving yet so i think i would just destroy my truck worse than i did this time. is the picco red dot .26 a drop in (other than the mount) like the regular picco .26? or do i need to replace lots of stuff? no one has mentioned the kyosho sirio? is it not good or are these that much stronger? interested in the .26 red dot now though

Your correct. I was kind of joking around. You said baddest. But the reddot its pretty much a drop in with the mount. I recommend getting a side pipe also.I thought my Revo was fast with the THS pipe till I put on a BB side pipe. Dont use the stock pipe or you will have tuning problems cause the motor wont breath and you wont get the rpms yoou would get with a bigger pipe.. I dont have any experence with the Sirio line up so I can help you there.

Spur gears, clutchbells, new clutch(m2c), 086 BB pipe (top end) or 053 BB pipe (low end) with manifold, a wing and mount. Rpm front arms Those should get you end the door.

You dont need cluch shoes now but trust me you will in the near future. When I had my Max.26 in I was changing shoes every week. I've tried stock, MIP ,Integy( I know, I know) and settle on M2C. When you start to noticing the truck not accelerating when you can clearly hear the motor whining, those extra shoes will keep you moving.

M2C racing. They make 2, 3 and 4 shoe alum clutches. Heres the 3 shoe for the Revo [link=http://m2cracing.com/product.sc?categoryId=2&productId=232]M2C[/link]. Its $60 but when I add up all the money on worn clutch shoes just over the last 6 months, $60 is a bargain to me. You can use a MIP clutch but you have to adjust the slipper. To me that taking away HP. It all depends on your driving style. Some people never have clutch problems and the stock holds up fine for them. Me, I'm probably jinx.

Would you need a side pipe on a revo 3.3 (5309) with that motor? Would you get that motor for a revo 3.3?

Check out my gallery. I do recommend upgrading to a good side pipe. For top end go with a 086 pipe ([link=http://www.ofna.com/pipes-18.html]ofna[/link] , [link=http://www.novarossi.com/content_uk/products/exhaust/car-pipes-offroad.html]novarossi[/link],ect.) or 053 for low end. I have the stock pipe which is too restrictivefor the Picco IMOA. The THS was ok until it got the sidepipe. The side pipe lets it rev quick, keeps temps down, and generally make tuning alot easier with this motor. I use the nova 9853 with short manifold. But the ofna is the small for a lot less.

Indeed; when it comes to big block engines; side pipe is the only way to go because of the fact that it allows the bigger engines to use the power available to its full potential....

Use stock spurs, regular plastic spurs will never strip/melt if adjusted properly except for being under extreme loads and should be comfortable under the .26 RD.

Yep u got that right!!! integy is what is known as GARBAGE!!!!; so as for spurs I would stick with whatever u have for a stock spur gear, and just make sure the gear mesh is set properly and u shouldn't have any problems with it.....

As long you run a 3.3 or picco it will fit. The 4 shoe requires a bigger clutchbell. I use the RR savage clutchbells. Robinson racing has great clutchbells and spurs but they come at a price and you limited right now to 40 and 38 spurs. But the cluychbells go up to 20 now. I have bout four gallons on a set of RR spur and clutchbell no chips or wear so far. But at 3 bucks traxxas spurs are a bargin and hold up nice as long as your mesh is on. I just wanted a bulletproof drivetrain for my mill.
