Default 3905 Center Diff in an older E-maxx transmission?

Well has anyone done it? I have an older E-maxx that I'd like to install a center diff in. The easier option would be fitting the newer 3905 center diff into the older E-maxx tranny I have. At first glance it looks like it might work if I went to a single speed which is perfectly fine. Can anyone confirm this? Might save me some headaches.

Next option would be trying to fit the 3905 tranny into the older E-maxx chassis. Don't really want to get into that if I don't have to.

The new e-maxx has a center diff option?

Yes, really. (no crawling with a center diff I presume?) I never knew a center diff was available.

Nope, no crawling with this one. I did a custom chassis and braces for this one. Just wanted a fast basher that would hold it's own at the track. Can't keep the front end down right now without toasting slippers and have a more powerful setup I'm putting in it right now. Going to give one of those 80mm medusas a try on 6S lipo since I toasted my last Feiago 10XL.

Hmm, very nice. swapping trannies is probably a lot of work (that's why I went to the new chasis with extra length) Hopefully someone knows for sure if the diff fits the old trans. I bet it would be easier than swapping transs.

That's what I'm hoping for. I could always cut out another chassis to fit the 3905 tranny but that's a lot of work and time.
