Personally I would pull everything apart and soak it all in Diesel fuel for a little while. Take one piece out at a time and brush everything off with a soft paint brush, dip it in the Diesel fuel once again, then blow everything off with the air compressor. Wipe everything down with a clean dry cloth or paper towel. Then take another paper towel with after run oil on it, wipe everything down with the after run oil, and reassemble everything.

+1!!!; I think Mike here has the right idea; its best to take everything apart and carefully inspect the moving parts for grooves, nics, etc, on the piston head and elsewhere inside.....then thoroughly clean them up with fuel, after run oil, etc...

Wait wait, What do you mean by air intake head? The cooling head? Was the inside of your motor visible?

I was thinking the same thing. But what i think he means is the air filter and dirt got into the air filter manifold. I hope he didn't destroy his Cooling head.

dowloaded the parts diagram from Traxxas and use that as a guide to rebuild. It is easy, just pay attention to what you are doing

The eaisest way I learned to do it was to go to the MFG (manufactor) website and print out the teardown/exploded view and put it in a page protector, in a binder and stare at it while making sure what goes where and what oriontation its supposed to be, then go to town.

here's a video of how to take it apart. it's probably easier to watch a video than look at a manual. the videos are long but packed with good info...

part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwDZf...eature=related

A full-size car snuck up behind me.....by time I saw it, it was too late. I only crushed the motor and rear body post. You think my motor looks bad you should have seen his oil pan...LOL....My parts will cost about 130 total his is alot more. There is nothing salvagable of this motor. Some of the skirt is broke off the crank and connecting rod are both really bent.

Yep, they said send it in with all the pieces. I even told them there is no way they could rebuild this motor. They said send it.
