Default t-maxx 3.3 wiring question

I bought the traxxas wiring package for the rechargeable battery pack. However, I bought my battery from onlybatterypacks.com. So the charging recepticle is not the same. I know which lead goes to the reciever. However, i need to know whether to cut and solder the red or black lead to my new battery. I can modify the battery case to use the existing female(white) lead and charge the batts through it. images attached hopefully. I will leave the charging lead on the wiring pack inside the case.

The best thing to do would be to solder a new connector onto the battery. Get a connector to go into the red connector on the Traxxas wiring harness. You can get the connector at any LHS. Another option would be an adapter from the battery connector to the Wiring harness connector, again that should be available at any LHS. But that will add wiring and bulk and would not be my first choice.
