Default identity crisis

I come across a used Tmaxx in a trade a while back, this winter i've decided to tear it down and replace what needs to be and what not since it was in pretty rough shape. my problem is i'm not sure what to buy parts for... the truck came with the 3.3 installed but it was not the original engine. now i'm not sure if the engine was a direct replacement or a upgrade to the 2.5.. please help me identify this monster!! ive got it in several parts atm but if u need pictures of any certian parts i can take those and upload quick... thanks a bunch

Chassis is 2.5, holes are stamped out for the slide carb bellcrank and the port opening for the exhaust pipe stinger to go through the bottom. Tranny could be original or 2.5.

+1 on the 2.5

The 2.5 has the black tranny and the 3.3 would drop in

It looks like the earlier version that used the Pro .15 side exhaust.
