RE: s-maxx vs sportmaxx vs t-maxx 2.5r
Neither. The S-Maxx and the Sport Maxx are the same trucks with different bodies. Forward only, 2WD. The T-Maxx is 4WD with reverse. It depends on personal preference as to which one is better. Traxxas makes 4WD upgrade kits for the S and Sport Maxx and they also make Forward only conversions for the T-Maxx. So no matter what you could upgrade the S and Sport Maxx and turn them into a T-Maxx or change the T-Maxx into a S or Sport Maxx. Initial cost is the largest factor in the decision on which truck to purchase. S and Sport Maxxes are cheaper due to the reduced number of components, but no less fun than a T-Maxx.

I really liked the sportmaxx when it came out.
It was alot lighter than the maxx, but was not as offroadable.
I wish they would bring back the old maxx, I would buy one.
I bought one in 1999

I own an S-Maxx and the thing has been about as bulletproof as a truck can get. It pulls awesome wheelies and I have no trouble with it off-road. Personally, I liked the S-Maxx better then my Bro-in-law's T-Maxx.
