Default New revo project!!!

Hey guys whats up? As you read from the title im in the process of building another revo project. I got a revo rolling chassis with a few platinum upgrades on it. For 250. The upgrades include sway bar kit, red pushrods, red turnbuckles, gtr shocks, 17mm hex adapters and the wing/mount. I had a revo a few years ago and converted it brushless and sold it for parts for my real car.
I went out and got a LRP .30 spec2 pullstart, Jammin jp-3 pipe, traxxas big block mount, proline single servo arm, new skid plates, integy 3pc alm clutch, 14.15,16,17t cluthbells and 4 36t spurgears. Fuel tubeing/fuel bottle, integy 22lbs yellow springs, futaba s3305 servo for throttle, Hi-tec hs 5645mg steering servo, slipper clutch rebuild kit,
RPM front a arms, RPM tru tack conversion in rear. Traxxas revo air filter, ofna 1/8th scale air filter, ofna 1/8 black wing, silver dubro fuel filter, glow starter, 3 glow plugs, Proline slipstream body, screw kit, hex drivers, and 30% odonnel fuel. I used rit dye to dye the rocker arms black also.
Trust me it was a bill i wasnt expecting!!!!
I had touble to get my motor to fit so i ordered an lrp .28 spec 3 pullstart thinking its smaller so it will fit but didnt so now i need a new era mount im told so thats the only piece im waiting on. and im broke right now lol. go figure
I took it all apart to check everything and deanodized the chassis, bulkhead braces and 17mm hex whell adapters. Then i had them powdercoated gloss black along with the motor mount. (the mount didnt work out so well had to sand down the inside cuz the motor mount wouldnt slide down in.
Heres a few pics let me know what you think.

Thank you!!! Yea i cant wait on putting in that LRP.30 its should scream or "rip" as you say lol But yea advice to anyone puttin on a .28 or bigger on a revo "DO NOT GET THE TRAXXAS BIG BLOCK MOTOR MOUNT KIT" it wont work if your planning to use a pull start or roto start. I ruined an rear upper RPM a arm and a stock rocker arm cutting it just to wedge the .30 in and still couldnt get the gears to meet let alone flush em up.. the new era mounts the motor higher so it sits over the a arm and its suppose to make the center of gravity better too. I spent all my money on a new LRP .28 thinking it would fit. ha lol nope still need the motor mount so i get an xtra motor now. and no mount for the meantime.

I had the chassis powdercoated gloss black. Fingerprints leave film on it. The chassis is really shiny. And most of the parts i ordered new i hate haveing to go thru somone elses problems when i get a used truck buy all new put it together the right way and it will pay off and look sharp. But almost everything is new except the trans, trans skidplate, front bulkhead, front body mount, rear body mount, thottle servo mount. and diffs. everything else was replaced with new parts.

And also its so clean cuz i havnt drove it yet! Im impatiently waiting on my motormount.

that thing looks sick. How much did the traxxas RX/TX run you? is it the new 2.4ghz?

also just wondering why you went with the traxxas instead of a spekky or futaba or something a little better then traxxas. It seems to me like you have dropped quite a bit of coin in this project. A spekky DX3S would have been the icing on the cake. the telemetry feature looks awesome.

nice revo...glad to see im not the only other person making a BB revo....true, a stater box is need for the traxxas bb mount. i use the rd racing one. the dx3s is cool, the only telem i use on it are the temp and the rx voltage...the rpm sensor was a joke...for that motor i suggest a 18 or higher clutch bell to really make the motor shine....keep us posted.

Hey snoking thanks for the compliments. I went with the new traxxas radio 2.4ghz cuz you can send your old one in and upgrade for 65$ so with it using the spektum gitch free symtem i figured it would run like my spektrums in the past. Or sumwhat like them.

And absolutemayem thanks bro i like your thread kinda inspried me to get my revo up and going. Im still searching for a motor mount. but plan on running 36t spur and a i have 14t - 18t clutchbells so i will play around with the gearing to see how it responds.

I ordered an Lrp .28 spec 3 thought it might be small enough to fit in the traxxas bb motor mount but wouldnt so i have a brand new motor in box if anyone interested. I bought it for 160 i will let it go for 120 if anyone is interested.
