Default Wide ratio vs standard ratio gears

I was looking at installing a set of Robinson Racing gears into my Revo 3.3 tranny and was wondering what the difference was between the standard ratio gears and the wide ratio gears? They're part numbers 8002 and 8007.

Default RE: Wide ratio vs standard ratio gears

Wide ratio gears will give you more top end speed but will slow down acceleration and short ratio gears will give you faster acceleration but you will run out of gear sooner and have a lower top speed. Standard ratio is in between the two.
