Stampede - Rebuilt steering linkage

I have an older stampede, running the FLM extended aluminum chassis and extended arms. One thing that has bothered me about the setup is I never could find a good way to setup the steering, even with everything adjusted in as much as possible, there is some extreme toe-out going on.

I'm ready to throw everything about from the front end (save arms and tires) and rebuilt it all new. My only issue is, I have no idea where to begin. Any recommendations on parts for rods going from the server to the wheels, as well as camber links? One think I would like to do is captured ball ends (seems to avoid a lot of breakage when they can pop off instead of breaking off).

Any help, pics of your pede steering setup, part numbers, etc would be a major help.

Thanks!

RE: Stampede - Rebuilt steering linkage

I found that with the older style carriers and ball cups I had a lot less toe changes. Even when going to extremes. The only problem is the small bearings. I got around that problem by using rear carriers up front. Now I just have to play with it and work a few bugs out. Like links hitting when the suspension is set high. I believe some longer ball studs would fix the problem. Just haven't got around to it.

Here are some pics. Check the Low pede sub folder to see the amount of toe.
