Hey guys, do any of you know what parts are a good idea to upgrade once you go brushless? Im almost done waterproofing my sensored system and wanted to know which parts are the weakest with brushless power.

I would do the support brace cause it helps a lot with the twisting of the chassis caused from torque and also from landing on the wing with the revo's. Here's a pic if you haven't seen it http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gif

Whats the length of that tie rod? And how did you secure it? I see you made a custum bracket for one side but what about the other side?

Whats the length of that tie rod? And how did you secure it? I see you made a custum bracket for one side but what about the other side?
It's a standard pushrod that comes with the summit i beileve. and then the custom bracket i made. And then the other end is screwed into a tube like hole that's in the rear body post holder

Also called traxxas, they said i can send in my ESC and get the new 1 with low voltage detection for $50.

I know the stock spur gear is 0.8pitch...thats the same as 32pitch right?

You have the best spots to take your summit, I have a few areas like that around me but most of it is either taken over by dirt bikes on the weekend or private land. The last pic made me LMAO. Can I come and live with you beast? Can I can I?

I have a spur gear still in the packet and it says "0.8 metric pitch, compatible with 32 pitch" so I guess your right.

Do that if you burn up your ESC. Why spend $50 when you can use the $5 ebay LVA and have no problems?

I have a quick question about running on 5S. So the mAh has to the same on the batteries well I have a 3S 5450mAh and a 2S 5400mAh and they are different brands, the 3S is Maxxamps (don't hate) and 2S is SPC. Anyone know if it's ok to run them together for 5S?

In general, the answer would be no. One key piece you left out iswhat is the C rating?They need to be the same, too. But the problem with that is, Maxxamp's "30C" rating could be different than your other brand's "30C"rating.

The risk of running a mismatched pair is that one battery will discharge at a much faster rate than the other.

You could run them as a test, and pull it over every 5 minutes or so, check the cell voltages with a LVA or something similar.

Be careful and watch them closely, and you should be able to see if it is possible.

The better idea, naturally, would be to buy a 5s battery or a matched pair of 2s/3s.

Thanks LaTuFu much appreciated, the SPC is 50C and the maxamps claims to be 120C. I think I might just stick to 4S for now, I don't really want to buy any more batteries ATM.
