E MAXX diff
My rear diff is broken and i was thinking about other options other than just fixing it. first i saw the spools but since they dont slip would i be stripping them constatly and would i still beable to take sharp turns? or is thire a better diff like the revo or the tmaxx that i could use or should i just fix mine?

RE: E MAXX diff
what maxx do you have.

RE: E MAXX diff
The older emaxx with the 14.4v esc

RE: E MAXX diff
you can find replacement diffs on ebay for like $12

RE: E MAXX diff
Spools will damage the shafts very quickly, i snapped a pin on the cvd's within 10minutes in snow.
The spools for the old diffs are quite hard to find, the new ones won't fit. any maxx diff will fit with a slight easy mod to the shafts, as they are shorter than the old diff. as above ebay is maybe best option with all the chop shops selling them new. I got a new revo spec Tmaxx diff bought new diff carrier and I-bar now it's a brushless diff total cost about $15 but prices have gone up slightly since i done it. |
RE: E MAXX diff
I think i might just get the new sealed ones because i hate changing drive shafts they break anough already

RE: E MAXX diff
yea and with the sealed diffs you can add thick diff lube to make the diff action spool like, but still have some slip.
