so I lost my remote..
Can I buy just any traxxas remote? Any tqi 3 channel remote should work with matching crystals right? I have a tmaxx 3.3

Yes, as long as the Xtals are on the same band as the radio/rx are tuned to.

A tqi doesn't use crystals. If you have a 2.4 system you'll need the brands 2.4 radio and I think the tqi only works with certain traxxas 2.4 receivers.

For the price of a Traxxas TQI Radio you can probably upgrade to a better Transmitter and Receiver for the money it costs to replace it. I installed a Spektrum DX3C in my Revo for $129.00 and the price has come down to $99.99. I would shop around for another radio system with a Digital display. If you do install another radio word of advice remove the Opti Drive System they do not work with other radios in my experience ;)
