17mm traxxas spline hex's on savage
 

Hey guys, not many people over in the savage forum but I know a lot of you guys have multiple cars so I figured i'd ask here. I got traxxas 3.8 wheels to run with badlands on my savage (4.6), i know I can just trim down the splines but id rather not because I want to replace my hex's with aluminum and a real nut instead of the shotty HPI design. Does anyone know if the traxxas hex's will fit on the savage shafts without modification? I searched and searched but nothing accept the savage flux came up that said they needed to mill down the shaft for it to fit. I feel the 4.6 shafts are not as thick as the flux so thats why I'm wondering is they will fit on. If anyone has any input its appreciated, if not I'm just going to buy a set of traxxas spine hex's and see if I can get them to fit on there. Thanks guys. ;)

I just cut & dremeled the insides out while waiting for the family to get here for easter, gonna order aluminum hex's with nice nuts so I don't have any guess work, thanks anyways!
