ok here is what happend, i got this "T-Maxx" off of ebay here is the link for it http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

The truck does not have reverse, its missing everything to make it 4 wheel drive including the diff, and it only has a one speed transmission, also the carb sticks and i cant get it to idle correctly. The guy i bought it from seems to be clueless that its not a T-Maxx and seems reasonable to work with. What should i ask him for? money to convert it? because its a nice truck! or a full refund for the truck? i allready bought a pipe for it off ebay because i found it cheap and also i went through it and re did all the shocks with new oil and put some black springs on it from my old maxx.

what would everyone do!?!?

I'd ask him for the price difference to make it 4wd. Do you really want reverse? if so then ask him to refund you that much too. All in all, it should be about $40 for the 4wd upgrade and $50 for reverse.

yea... that is nowhere neer close to looking like a t-maxx if you look at the stock paint job... meaning it is a sportmaxx. single speed, no reverse, 2 wd....
need i say more.. other then next time, do your reserch before buying...

How did you pay for it? If this isn't a T Maxx and you used PayPal, you can submit all the info and if you can convince them that the item was not represented properly, they will credit your PayPal account and charge his.

I agree, if it was supposed to be a T-Maxx and it's not, PAYPAL will take care of it for you.

Ok guys thank you for everyone who helped me out on this!! Seller resolved the problem by giving my 80$ back! does everyone think that its a good deal now? i hope i can get the parts to convert it to a T-Maxx for that!

should be able to but I would leave it FOC and get a better steering servo instead.....reverse sucks on an RC....it's just an added clutch to fail just as you're having fun.....

yes, forget the reverse and buy a servo, i have a hitec digital high torq and love it. soo much better to drive. you may want to use that money to upgrade shocks or suspension also since your likely to destroy stock pieces. look at rpm a arms and stuff.

Unless ya race all the time, I wouldn't get rid of the reverse. I use mine all the time. Being able to back up is very cool.... Saves alot of walking too... I wouldn't of even bought the Revo if it didn't hav reverse....

It's not a matter of removing reverse. The truck he recieved didn't come with reverse. He'll have to install it if he wants it.
I like reverse also but I don't use it as much as I thought I would.

Hmmmmmmm... Im always backing out of stuff, or off stuff, but I use reverse alot. Maybe I don't drive so well, or faster than I should. LOL

Breathe in through the nose and out through your mouth while you drive.....steady breathing keeps you from getting flustered....keep your controller upright and in front of your w/ your arms bent at the elbows....better to lift the Tx than let it hang down all lazy.......don't look like a fisherman waving his pole all over and you find you'll drive alot better......I know this sounds stupid to a lot of people, but try it for a day...make a conscious effort to do these simple things while you drive and you'll see a definate improvement in your driving.....

do realize that getting rid of reverse is generally considered an upgrade, so is removing the front drive train in certain situations... it'll go faster that way... going to single speed is pretty much unnecesary except for racers though I think...
