you will lose some top end speed,,make sure you get the combo from Robinson Racing

RE: t-maxx spur gear question?
the spurs are not interchangsble. rrp makes a metal 66t for the older maxxes. Going from a 72 to a 66 will give you more top speed. The 66t is for the older emaxx but the both work with the same slipper

rrp8572 is rrps part # for the 72tooth steel spur for the older t-maxxs slipper

RE: t-maxx spur gear question?
ok so basicly you have a .15 maxx with a 3.3 bolted in?
there's 2 differnt setup's with the gearing, those smaller spurs your finding (56t-55t ect) are for the "newer" tmaxx's, with the 2.5r's and the 3.3's, they have a different tranny, and are setup stock with a different spurgear/clutchbell mesh. you would need to get the one for the older style. like the 72t or the 66t. i have the 72t steel robinson myself, and it's worked great with my rb323 powered maxx. btw, keep this in mind, one of those spurs wil eat the stock clutchbell pretty qwick, i had this problem, went with a robinson hardened clutchbell, and no problems since. just make sure to get the mesh right |
