need fast help tmaxx 2.5 and tmax 1.5
 

I got my hands on 2 semi hopped up tmaxxes. a 2.5 and a 1.5 what im wondering is this. Bothing Trucks are Identical in length and everything except for obvious differences in chassis and such. im wondering is everything interchangable.

I want to make one Tmaxx completely Stock for my Brother the 1.5 and I want to make my tmaxx suped up. the 1.5 tmaxx has the Red cooling head and red chassis with all aluminum skid plates where the 2.5 has the blue chassis with plastic skids. I want to make the 2.5 using the red chassis and aluminum skids.

The 2.5 has a different pipe, 40 size tires wich are not shown. the 1.5 has a pull start wich I want to take off and it has all RPM stuff on it where as the 2.5 is basicly stock.

Switch em all around man, have at it... Keep the pipes with the engine's they are on... Get rid of reverse, FOC!! Makes it a little faster (less friction and such)... Throw a stronger steering servo in (both)

Have fun with it... Tel your brother I said he is lucky to have you!!!!! lol, have fun! The MAXX is a great truck!!!!

haha yeahi didnt notice my feet in the pic. im already swapping out parts. i gotta get him a oneway for the 1.5 cause it wont pull. Im going to let him keep the Racers Edge Red chasssis cause I feel like its a bit flimbsy for my taste.

I went today and got 2 new steering servo's for both trucks Hitec HS-645MG Metal Gear Servo's. I will post pics when im done with the trucks. I still have to Mount the 40's on the rims but they forgot to give me Foam inserts so I can put them on yet.

yeah its all i could get my hands on I know the ware a bit slow and not the best but they were Free and I expected them to be atleast better then stock

ok here is an update. I swapped alot of parts off the 1.5 maxx onto the 2.5. got it finished today. got the 40 tires mounted and put on the truck. I havent gotten to adjust the camber or anything as of yet.

nice truck,are the rpm a arms on the 1.5 the 2.5 lenghth? if so i would snatch them up also

they are the same exact trucks no difference at all. just one has a 1.5 on it. I gave them to my brother i didnt want him to have a completely stock truck. he is very Poor so I figured if my arms broke I could easily go buy new ones where he would struggle. No big deal at this point

I love the 40 series pretty cheap also paid around 85 bucks

40 for the 4 tires Proline Dirt hawgs & 40 for the Proline MAMBO Rims. Right now the 2.5 is at stock gearing. Do you guys think I will have to change the gearing for the massive tires?

Hey guys I need some advice. I sold the other Tmaxx to my Brother for 100 bux wit the 1.5 Engine on it. Im wondering tho. My brother decided to ask other sources that im not sure are reliable or not if the 1.5 Engine is going to be enough for the Truck itself. Someone told him the 1.5 Engine was 2 small for it. Ive been out of RC for sometime so im unsure of this.

He has a pretty much stock Tmaxx with a custom chassis that fits a 1.5 or a 2.5 on it. will the 1.5 be enough to run the Truck or awhile or is he going to need to go to a 2.5

not trying to be too technical, but its a .15 engine, not 1.5. Atleast I am assuming that is a pro .15 engine in the other one. I can't really see from that pic. Both are .15 engines, the 2.5 is just a little faster. The pro .15 should have enough power for the t-maxx. I found this chart on traxxas.com that roughly shows the difference (on the bottom)
