Default Is bearing lubrication required?

Hello all!
I am new to these small scale turbines and am planning to build a one for a university project. I have seen a lot of the manufacturer turbojets have direct hardlines to lubricate the front most bearing. I was wondering if this is required or if I can get away without directly lubricating the front most bearing?

i have seen various self built turbines on the web and some people directly lube their bearings and some don't. I'm looking to the jet gurus on this site for your opinions!

thanks all!

From what I understand you are cooling the bearings rather than lubricating them. Oil seems to be more for pump and valves then the bearings.
