Are you doing it all as one piece, or are you going to 'glass the protrusions first?

well putting on the first coat of resin wasnt that bad.it took a little time to cut the cloth around all the hinges and i am very happy with the way it turned out....lins, i usually dont put glass cloth on the very fine grain plywood. thats what these hinges are made from. i have found that the 2 coats of finishing resin on them are more than enough to hide any wood grain, and with a light sanding gives a nice smooth surface for the paint. i have been doing it that way for years and it has always worked well for me.
SIMCO..yeah it would be nice if it can be done by remote.unfortunatly this one only works on the tv...lol

to all, have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Really nice.

Appreciate the updates and photos.

This plane has long been on my "Gonna-Do-It-Someday" list.

Please remind us: what engines do you plan to use?

hey kram.....using the syssa 30cc motors on this...should be plenty of power and they fit really nice inside the cowl....i have a few pics posted a few pages back of the motors,,will give you some idea of how they fit.....looking at low to mid 30lb range on this airplane so should be a nice setup

There seems to be something wrong. In your pics, the area is far too clean and organized.

Looks as if the next couple of days will be warming with low winds. After that, it is to cool off a bit:

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 65. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 66. North northwest wind around 5 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70. South southwest wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

New Year's Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 55. North northeast wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

making progress..here is the outboard wing panels with 2 of the 3 colors on..last color to do is the black on the bottom and the leading edge.with the good weather should be able to get that done tomorrow..due to the size of this airplane i am finishing each section to completion so then i can set it aside and start on the next section..makes things much easier as far as room goes

The reason I mentioned it was the 4 legged kids knocked over the p-61 today. New rash in the boom.

Just picking at it. As good as the builder was, I still have to modify and/or change small items he neglected. Scale hinges and the like.
