I am interested in tackling a build of John La Belle's Twin Otter. I have his plans in front of me ready to start. This long forum build post on his design would be a great resource, however all the photo attachments are gone (like many great build post here).

Does anyone have photos of this project saved to your computer that you would be willing to share? Anything would be appreciated.

Good to see this post come up. I have John's plans as well and certainly wished I would have purchased a short kit when he was supplying them. I am considering taking on this build as well very soon. I have had the plans scanned and will convert the parts to CAD and then cut them on the Laser and CNC in-house. However, I have no timeframe yet on when I will get started. There would be a lot of little items to reproduce as well, the cowls, the nose landing gear block and vacuum formed parts.

John and shared a few email's in the past about continuing production of the kit, but I have since changed emails and have lost his contact information. It looks like his website is just parked, so that may be a good thing to make contact again. Anyways, glad to see a post come up and looking forward to hearing about your project. Talk soon.

Jason

I don't have the pics in the build thread, but I may have the original build CD from John. I built one of the first five short kits. They were laser cut by Pat Fallacaro who has a website for his business and I believe he has the cutting files. I can't do anything beyond this reply right now...recovering from Covid.

Sorry to hear about the COVID. When you do get back up and running, If you can duplicate the CD and put it on a USB flash drive, I would purchase it along with the Flash Drive and shipping. Send me a PM when you ready! Thanks,

Hello Reuben, I would plan on three piece wing and if I had the CAD files, I could do any design work to make that happen. Do you have a link to the dwg files from John on FB? Thanks.

Hi Jason, I know I had seen them on Facebook for sure but do not remember exactly their location. I did not download them because at 130" I thought the plane was too big for my car especially with a single wing.

I contacted John for build pictures and instructions. He is no longer providing kits and all his files are in storage and not accessible at this time. He suggested I make a request on this forum for a copy of the CD that came with his kit. He said it had over 60 pictures plus the build instructions. If you still have, can a get a copy of the CD? It would be appreciated.

Yes, I am still interested and I replied to your PM, thanks! I will get to work converting these to vector for cutting on the Laser for the wood parts and CNC for the G10 parts. Thanks and talk soon.
