Default Pica Duellist

If you have not noticed, there is a two person battle for a laser cut Duellist kit on the auction site that is at $430.00.
Way nice kit, way crazy price. How high will it go? They both want it bad!!!!
I stopped at $166.00.
Built the die cut kit many years ago. Nice kit, great plane. Not $430.00 nice though.

I saw the same thing happen to a 1.20 size Pica Waco Kit awhile back. Well over $400.00. GP has a Waco 1.20 ARF out now, and in stock. If you want it, and are willing to pay for it, its yours on Ebay. I have a Laser Cut Duellist, but not going to part with it for now.

Auctions can be very exciting.

I once bought a very early ducted fan powered F-86 Sabre Jet at a estate sale, brown glass fuse, foam core wings and tail, no balsa, no fan, fixed gear with over sized DuBro wheels and rolled planes, box was falling apart at the corners.

I paid $50.00 for it and at our annual auction (Bayside R/C Club, Fremont Ca. 7 years ago) two guys wanted it real bad, winning bid was $370.00. I was giggling out loud when the bidding went over $300.00'

That was a good day but I've had bad days selling at auctions too.

Amazing what people will pay for a box of balsa, especially when it can be scratch built without too much effort.
